Yes, He Heard You

How often do we hear the cliché’ that delay is not denial? And it is certainly not uncommon for someone to remind us that God has not forgotten about us just when it feels exactly as if He has. But sometimes when we start to think that the answer to our prayer is no where in sight, the Lord sends a word just as He did with Daniel. I believe this is that word for someone today.

My friends, just because the answer is not always immediate, it is not by any means an indication that God didn’t already send the answer. Remember, when something is en route, we can’t always see the path that it has taken. Just because we don’t see it doesn’t mean that God has not already done it. Recently, the Lord showed us that some journeys take longer than others and some blessings may take longer to reach you… just ask Viola Davis how long it’s been.

God heard your prayer and has already dispatched the answer to arrive in His time and in His way. Don’t get discouraged. But rather, trust that God has heard you and that He knows when you need it most, He knows when you can handle it best, and He knows when your blessings will have the most impact on the Kingdom.

If your blessing comes when no one is there to see what God did, then you’re the only one who gets to see God’s powerful hand at work. But I love the way the Lord dispatches the call, then in the meantime, He’s working things out so that when it reaches us, somebody else will also see the glory of God.

This week, I need for someone who has been discouraged to simply tell God thank you for what is on the way with your name on it. Humble yourself before the Lord, seek His Kingdom and know that God has heard you.

Just because it’s not yet in your hand doesn’t mean it’s not yours.

Remember, since the first day – He heard your words and He sent your response!

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.” Daniel 10:12 NIV
